10 Favorite Fashion Houses: Prada

8. Prada 

Prada is an Italian fashion house specializing in luxury goods for men and women, founded in 1913 by Mario Prada. His daughter, Luisa Prada inherited the Prada business for almost twenty years and it's now Mario's granddaughter, Miuccia Prada who is the owner and the creative director of this brand. 

This summer there was an accessory that was very popular and it's the Prada baroque sunglasses. If i was rich, these would be the sunglasses i would wear. The arms are just so different, original and pretty. I like every color but my favorite is the black on the top of the picture because black shades are a classic and go well with everything. The white one is also my favorite. It has a retro look and i immediately think of a Chanel swimsuit paired with this sunglasses.  

Another thing i like about this brand is their fruit collection. It was during Prada's Spring 2011 Ready-to-wear collection. Some may find it ugly and weird but it was a huge success with celebrities and fashion bloggers. I personally really like it. It's original and after it came out on the runway, many designers like Stella McCartney designed fruit patterns on their clothes. The banana skirts, shirts, shoes and nails are a good conversation starter and you can be sure that you will not have a boring outfit with any of these pieces of clothing.

I wasn't very please with the last runway of Prada. When i was looking through Prada Spring 2013 Ready-to-wear collection, the only outfit that i like was the look 15. Even if i didn't really like the new collection, i must say that i'm in love with this outfit. For spring, Miuccia Prada was inspired by the Japanese culture and cherry blossom but i think that this look is more about vintage and retro. The sweater is so pretty and you definitely have all eyes on you if you wear it. It's cute and you can wear it with any bottom whether it's shorts, skirts or pants. The sunglasses and the bag are what make the look more retro. The only thing i don't like about this outfit are the shoes. In my opinion it look like shoes that come from future and it's not something i would wear.
