A trend that's been a long time fashionable and that's going to stay for a long time is the plaid. About three years ago, plaid was very popular and i bought my first shirt with this pattern on it. Than the years past and this winter it's still a big trend. Whether it's in summer or winter, plaid is the key for a casual ans manly outfit. I chose three clothes that have this pattern on it and created three look that i would love to wear for this season.
Here's the first outfit i did and it's the most common one. The most popular color for this trend is red and everybody seems to have one in their wardrobe (boys and girls) like this A.P.C. plaid cotton-flannel shirt. If you don't want to put too much effort to dress up, dark jeans fits very well with red plaid, so i chose J Brand black skinny jeans. Obviously, the Scottish pattern makes me think of lumberjacks and construction workers so i paired the outfit with River Island cream lace up boots that are a chic way to represent constructor boots.
There's not just the red plaid that is pretty, there's many mix of different colors that can be very original or beautiful. I like this green pattern on this shirt that is more dark and more manly. To break the masculine look, i put an ivory skirts that makes the look more romantic and cute. The shirt will be tucked in the skirt to see the waist line. That way it will looks more feminine. Then i put the essential Dr. Martens black leather boots because i didn't want to have a too feminine style and because it goes with everything.
We don't always find plaid in shirt. We can also find it in dresses, skirts and pants. For the third and last outfit i chose the Tilly's almost famous premium plaid womens skinny pants. If you like to be adventurous, these pants are perfect for you. To calm a little bit the bright pattern, i put a big black sweater that is little bit sheer. Than to feminize the look, i find J.Crew sasha suede pumps with the end in gold. With these shoes, i think you prevents to look like a clown.
