London Fashion Week 2013: House Of Holland

House Of Holland

For the Spring/Summer 2013 collection of House Of Holland at the fashion week, the designer of this line, Henry Holland, described it as “Raving nanas, Disco Sally and Summer of Love '89.” I really appreciate this collection, i tough it was really wearable and the clothes were something i would wear. 

 I have four favorite looks for this collection. I will talk about the look 3 and 15 first. The peplum top was a big trend this winter and it's still a trend this spring. The pattern on this peplum top is original and it has not been seen before. It would go with a lot of bottoms like jeans, shorts or skirts. The designer of House Of Holland decided to pair the top with a pencil skirt with the same pattern. I think the two pieces look great together but the only thing i don't like about this outfit is the shoes. It looks like hiking shoes and it doesn't match the look at all. I really like the coat of the second look. It very feminine with the pink floral pattern. The cutting and the form of this trench are very flattering and it's the kind of coat i would buy. By cons, i wouldn't pair it with the shoes we see in this runway show. I would look better with Dr. Martens' black boots.

The second part of the runway show was more young and colorful than the first part where it was darker and more grown  up. I liked the look 21 (the first one in the picture) because of the original mix of color and pattern. Although the shirt looks a little bit handmade, it reminds me of summer and Coachella music festival, where people wear outfits like this. I really like the skirt. The pattern and the colors are really pretty. The thing i don't like is the boots, like i said in the peplum top look on top. Greek sandals would have look better. Then, my favorite look of all is the look 25. I'm in love with it. First, the shirt is very pretty. The peter pan collar, the transparent part and the boyish sleeve are just perfect. The overalls are a new trend this spring and i was planning to get one in jeans. This overalls is original with the tie dye multicolored pattern. This outfit is great even with the shoes.
